I received my B.A. degree from the University of California at Berkeley with a degree in anthropology and archaeology. I have a Masters in Education, specializing in Multicultural education and gifted instruction. I hold a CLAD certified and clear-teaching credential. I have received teaching certificates of recognition and appreciation from U.S. Senator Barbara Boxer, U.S. House of Representative Howard L. Berman, Councilmember Michael Feuer, and Councilmember Wendy Greuel. Before becoming a teacher at Millikan I worked as an archaeologist for the U.C. Berkeley outreach program. I have taught history at Millikan since 2000. My love for history and culture stems from being raised as an Air Force “brat” who moved from country to country every two to three years.
