SCHOOL LANDSCAPING PROJECT / TREEPEOPLE LANDSCAPING WORKSHOPS. A group of Millikan parents, teachers, and administrators are uniting in an effort to landscape the muddy area in the center of campus (in front of Rooms 33-35). We've been working together since last Spring, and also have met with LA Unified and TreePeople. We've taken the first step by successfully securing funds from LAUSD to pay for soil testing prior to digging.

We now need YOU, interested parents and students, to register for and attend a TreePeople workshop this Saturday, Nov. 10, from 9-1 pm. TreePeople is an environmental non-profit that has helped several public schools with similar landscaping projects. Tree People will work with us if we can organize a large group of people to make this happen. Please sign up to attend Rainwater Harvesting, Native Plants, or Tree Planting workshops happening this Saturday from 9-1 at TreePeople off Coldwater Canyon In Beverly Hills. You will learn great skills you can use in your own garden. Breakfast, snacks, and all workshop materials will be provided. To register, visit: http://www.treepeople.org/community-sustainability-workshops or call Linda Eremita, TreePeople Forestry Education Manager, at 818.618.4878.

Want to be involved, but can't attend the workshops? Email Christine Kim christinegoldings@sbcglobal.net or Shana Landsburg at findshana1@pacbell.net to become part of the group.
