Student Announcements

                         

Agenda Planners – start the New Year organized! Use your agenda planner to record homework, assignments, and long term projects.

 

Be Safe – unless for PE class, walk on campus. Protect and respect personal space.

Be Responsible – be on time, throw trash away, and do your work.

Be Respectful – use positive and polite language, stop and think before speaking or acting, treat others as you wish to be treated. Apologize if you bump into someone.

 

IDs – please carry your ID with you at all times. First ID is FREE. $5.00 replacement fee, pay at the Student Store.  IDs printed in Attendance Office during Homeroom.

 

Lockers – avoid jams by making sure all straps and strings are in the locker before closing the door. Do not over-stuff your locker. Please do not share your locker or combination with anyone.

 

Phones – remember to turn your phone off during school hours (unless you have permission from an adult).

 

Schoology – post responsibly or lose your Schoology group privilege.

 

Spirit Week – is coming. Listen for upcoming fun activities planned by Leadership.

 

 

 

 

Faculty Reminders

 

Announcements – please email announcements you’d like to include in The Weekly Communicator to esther.gass@lausd.net by noon on Fridays.

 

Attendance – please submit accurate attendance daily.

 

Best Practice – providing unconditional positive regard for students: “I will view my students as whole people. My students are more than the sum of their behaviors in my classroom. My students are unique, complex people worthy of love and respect. (page 95  of The Growth Mindset Playbook.)

 

BIC – please help reduce the number of students wandering the campus during Period 1 by only send ONE student to return the BIC carts after your class has enjoyed breakfast.

 

Email/Schoology Posts – please check daily (help avoid Faculty Meetings). Thank you.

 

Field Trips – please alphabetize student names when submitting student lists to the Attendance Office. If multiple periods are participating, please alphabetize within class periods. Please check in with Attendance Office before departing to verify which students participating in the trip.

 

Parking – to promote campus safety, please move your car to the Magnolia/Sunny slope parking lot so we can close gates at 4:30 pm.

 

Three-day Weekend – please close and lock doors and windows before you leave on Friday. Throw away all BIC and personal food.
