Cinematic Arts Academy at Millikan had two students received Awards and four students screen their movies at the National Film Festival for Tale

On April 27-30th the Cinematic Arts Academy @ Millikan attended the National Film Festival for Talented Youth in Seattle, Washington. Students joined filmmakers from 28 countries ages 11-24 in film screenings, networking, workshops, and learned how to make 360° films from the sponsors of the festival, Oculus.

6th Grade CAAM student, Alejandro Lombard won and Audience Choice Award for his short film Brave Boy.
8th Grade CAAM student, Alina Foley won the “Best New Talent Under 14” award for her short film Denial.
CAAM students Ella Fields, Jack Massee Theo Taplitz and Teddy Nissen also had films screened at the festival as Official Selections.

So far this year, CAAM students have won 29 awards from festivals all around the world including festivals in Australia, Russia, and Wales!

This summer, CAAM students will once again be attending the Giffoni Film Festival in Italy and this fall students will be flying to Adelaide Australia to be jurors and participants in the Adelaide International Youth Film Festival.
